~Hanare~ is a sister villa of the popular whole-villa brand The Villa Miyako, and it has won a major booking site's Guest Review Award two years running since opening. Hanare sits in the center of the island, surrounded by sugarcane fields — remarkably quiet and private, with few shops nearby. On a clear night, step out to the field beside the house and the sky fills with stars. Wake to freshly ground coffee and cook island ingredients in the kitchen — this is the "live like a local" trip you can't get at a hotel. 80㎡, single-story, 2 bedrooms, sleeps 6 (bedding for 8). Bedroom 1 has a queen bed; Bedroom 2 has two double beds; the tatami space behind the living room fits two futon sets. One bathroom and one toilet, with tableware for 6. (7–8 guests per villa is possible for an extra fee — please ask in advance.) The kitchen is stocked with first-class appliances — a De'Longhi automatic espresso machine (beans included), a Balmuda toaster, a Vitamix blender, a Panasonic Bistro oven-microwave, a rice cooker, a kettle and a SodaStream — plus a stove, oven, dishwasher and freezer, with pots, pans, dishware and cutlery for everyone. The nearest restaurant strip is a little away, so the villa is set up for self-catering: cook Miyako beef, Agu pork and island seafood on beautiful tableware. Many guests tell us they "just bought ingredients and cooked, and wanted for nothing." Imgya Marine Garden and Shigira Beach are about 7 minutes away by car; Aragusuku Beach (sea turtles) and Yoshino Beach about 15. An in-room washer and dryer mean beach gear is clean and dry the same day. A single-story home with no stairs, its own guest entrance, backyard and free on-site parking — easy for small children and older guests. Cedar-scented rooms, ceiling fans, a TV and a workspace make it great for workations and long stays. On hot days we cool the house before check-in and chill sanpin tea in the fridge to welcome you. Right next door is the identically designed sister villa Yui. Book both for up to 12 guests (6 per villa), or add futons in each tatami space for bedding up to 16 across the two — ideal for three-generation trips and multi-family stays. A guests-only rental car service can arrange an 8-seat Toyota Voxy or a clean kei car at special rates (pickup at Miyako Airport; pickup/shuttle also at Shimojishima Airport).
